Tyrone Timberframes in partnership with Habitat for Humanity NI have teamed up to build the UK's first energy-efficient and affordable houses in Madrid Street in East Belfast. The first part of the project, called Habitat Zero Homes, is also supported by Clanmil Housing Association and NI Housing Executive. The houses have no central heating but will tackle fuel poverty and are part of a £5 million investment to build 50 such homes in local communities across Northern Ireland in the next three years.
