  2. by Nikki Selken, Enrica Beccalli, Ezgi Uçar, Birce Özkan for the Parsons Paris Metaverse Workshop, May 2014 with Audi hosted by NUMA.

Fashionable Technology is a hot topic and there was no better place perhaps than at Parsons Paris hosted by NUMA to explore a future of wearable devices that augment our memories with sensory sensors that can record sensations beyond sight. What if we could record our tastes and smells and save them for later to re-saveur? Look no further for a project that had to be born in Paris. It was the unmistakable taste of Proust’s madeleine in Swann’s Way that inspired this group to direct their practice toward this techno-literary object of futurism and futuring. A metaverse beyond sight and sound, this one illustrates new modes of emotional experience and encounter.

  3. A look at body language and confidence. A conceptual, research based project looking at using clothing as a tool for manipulating body language, in order for a person to be seen as confident. This project focusses on 3 points of body language concentrating on confidence as a tool - head up, no hands in pockets and feet pointing outwards. The outcome of this project is a set of 3 wearables; a set silver collar stiffeners, electric shocking pockets and magnetic shoes.

Wearing and clearing Nail Polish take lots of time.
And buying many colors of nail polish also spend much money.

    So, we present HueNail!

HueNail is a wearable technology, looks like traditional artificial nail, with flexible screen on it.HueNail can work in two ways:

    i) Change nail color by picking a color in mobile application.

ii) Capture a photo and attach it on finger nails, no painting skill required.

HueNail shows a new perspective on wearable technology.
It provides fashion, social and fun features which traditional nail polish couldn't offer. The technology nowadays can make HueNail come true.

Flexible screens, tiny wearable batteries ( Lithium-Ceramic Battery ) and small compute unit exist today.

Although those technology may not cheap enough to make this product. But it will be there in 2-3 years.

Blind or impaired people have a hard life.

Everyday activities aren’t as simple as someone with a good vision. When swimming for example, they need a tapper (or assistant) who tells the swimmer when they arrive at a turning point.

The Smart Swim makes swimming a lot easier. All you need to do is putting on a special swimming hat that is connected with two transmitters on each side of the swimming pool.

If you are within 2 or 5m (this is adjustable), the swimming hat will vibrate so you know you are almost at the end of the swimming lane. You can swim safely without the help of a tapper!
