So i was doing some spring cleaning and found this video on my hard drive. Don't know when exactly i did it, its at least 6 months old, but its the type of stufff i want to do right now..... speed sculpts so no better way than to already have a head start right :)
Didnt have a real idea of what i wanted to do, but i stopped around the 70 minute mark.
Download and enjoy.

Hey there,
So in this part I finally step away from the face and start working on the body.
Spent about 40 minutes on this session but this is where the fun really begins.
Note: I think im gonna upload my vids in this format all the time. There is no reason why my files should be that big and the compression i think works really well.
Hiyo,
Sorry for the delay (if you have been waiting). I took a lil break over the holidays and then my graphics card died. But you dont care about that hehe...
Im back and im gonna keep producing vids.
This one is all about the fixing errors in the face.
This video does contain audio commentary.
Has anyone used in a sentence "if is..." properly? Well i don't in this video. :)
This is the basic roughin' out of the face (in asymmetry) and while i don't find it an easy task it certainly was a rewarding one in terms of practice and just "becoming a better artist".
So i hope you enjoy it and as always there is more to come.
p.s sorry about the size, I had document set to medium instead of large. Won't happen again.
So this is where things start to get interesting.
The volume and silhouette were defined now its a matter of breaking those volumes down into limbs and being able to pin-point anatomical landmarks.
Much like a traditional pieces there is no symmetry so this all has to be done by eye (which is fun but so difficult to correct)
The next video i think im gonna work on the face and block that out. Which sounds scary to be honest, but i need to tackle…
Ok so here is my first lunch crunch. Not really that interesting. I guess I work in a weird way. I spend pretty much the entire hour at level 0.
For me volume and silhouette is the main thing in the early game. Then once i feel comfortable with it the form and features become my main focus because not having to worry as much about the rhythm and gesture of the subject is a huge weight off my shoulders.
Hopefully I will be able to provide something…
Here is a quick tip on how to display you models in Zbrush with smooth poly shading. This feature has been around since the 1.55b days, but i think most people have either forgotten it or just don't know about it.
Either way its a little tip that might help you not wasting time opening another app to preview what your model looks like at certain poly counts.
One thing i forgot to add in the video is you will be unable to sculpt with relative ease…
This video was created in the fall of 2006. I wasn't entirely happy with the audio quality and content, so in the summer of '08 i decided to re-dub the audio. Concept by Mark Newman, created in Silo 2.0 beta.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
