"Call Them Brothers" was written by Jack Dishel (of Only Son) & Regina Spektor and appears on Only Son's second album, "Searchlight".
The video was directed and photographed by James Holland using Super 8mm film. Additional archival footage was shot by family friend Howard Zuckerman.
Regina and Jack (of Only Son) liked the song so much they recorded a new version of the song (its brother!) with producer Mike Elizondo. It will appear on the digital deluxe edition of Regina's new album "What We Saw From The Cheap Seats" (available now on iTunes). Get it at: smarturl.it/whatwesawdeluxe

The Harmonia Macrocosmica is a star atlas written by Andreas Cellarius and published in 1660 by Johannes Janssonius. The first part of the atlas contains copper plate prints depicting the world systems of Claudius Ptolemy, Nicolaus Copernicus and Tycho Brahe. At the end are star maps of the classical and Christian constellations, the latter ones as introduced by Julius Schiller in his Coelum stellatum christianum of 1627. Because the atlas also contained plates supporting the then popular view of the Catholic Church, the book was not placed on the Index Librorum Prohibitorum.
Andreas Cellarius (c. 1596, Neuhausen, -- 1665, Hoorn) was a Dutch-German cartographer, best known for his Harmonia Macrocosmica of 1660, a major star atlas, published by Johannes Janssonius in Amsterdam.

M83 is a musical act by Spanish-French musician Anthony Gonzalez. It is named after a spiral galaxy, Messier 83. The band was founded in 2001 by Gonzalez and former member Nicolas Fromageau in Antibes, France. The musical style of M83 owes something to the shoegazing genre in its extensive use of reverb effects and lyrics spoken softly over loud instrumentals, although M83's songs employ considerably less guitar than most shoegazing bands. Gonzalez and Fromageau parted ways shortly after touring for their second album Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, and now Gonzalez records mainly on his own, often with the help of his brother Yann Gonzalez, vocalist/keyboardist Morgan Kibby, and drummer Loïc Maurin.

We didn't need a story, we didn't need a real world
We just had to keep walking
And we became the stories, we became the places
We were the lights, the deserts, the faraway worlds
We were you before you even existed
I carry on, carry on, carry on
And after us the flood
Carry on, carry on, carry on
Our silver horn it leads the way
Banners of gold shine
In the cold, in the cold, in the cold
Footprints of snow
Blind from the road
We carry on, carry on
Follow us, we are one
The battle's fought, the deed is done
Our silver hum runs deep and strong
Hand to the heart, lips to the horn
Hand on my breast, I'll keep you warm
I sometimes wonder if we are living in an age that is suspended in some kind of intractable inertia. Compressing both the past and the future, inducing a “constant present.” A fictional place where the rhythms of nature are ignored, while inadvertantly winding time and space tighter and tighter, faster and faster. A parallel world increasingly removed from the actual one.
