On 8 & 9 October 2010, The African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD - accord.org.za) hosted an international, high-level seminar on UN Resolution 1325, together with the African Union Peace and Security Commision. The seminar "1325 in 2020: Looking Forward... Looking Back" brought together 80 of the senior women leaders, academics and activists from the continent, to review progress on the implementation of 1325 and plan the way ahead for the coming decade to 2020. It resulted in the 'Durban Statement', which is currently informing policy and approaches to 1325 internationally.
