There used to be a scoreboard just like this in the gym at Garfield Elementary that they would sometimes let us use for basketball games. This is the second of the animations that are going to to into the feature film for Cannes for Real Ideas Studios.

I started animating the animations that I need to get finished for Cannes today. This is the first one. I think it might go by too quick, maybe you can let me know.
Although the voicemail is in German, I found out that he was talking about fear, so I just tried to make an animation that goes with the sound of the voice.

We kept looking for an easier, softer way to install these letters, but there was not. We started out just freehanding it, just putting up the letter and tacking it in, and some people still approve of that method, but then MQ Sean came up with the idea to use tape to hold the letter in place and then tack…
Whew. So long since a fresh new Animation Hotline video. It felt so good to do whatever I wanted to do and not have to try to make sure it looked good or looked right and could experiment and make mistakes and just have fun.
I have a chance to go to Cannes this year with the Animation Hotline, so I've got two things. First, I need people to leave messages about 'The Other'. See the website for a more detailed description of what I'm looking…
I was thinking I should edit this down but after listening to the message a few times I really couldn't cut out any of the message. She is so sincere and so excited and thought that to edit anything would be taking away from the beauty of the message.
I've been saving this one for the Autumnal Equinox for almost a year now. For some reason it really made me think of the end of summer and the fact that everything is starting to move toward winter's hibernation. I think the transitional seasons are my favorites, or maybe just the beginning of any new season. The changes are fresh and exciting.
This is the second of the HSI animations. I used some old footage off of archive.org for the people standing in line. It was actually an old PSA produced in 1945 by the Office of War to promote how the United States peacefully elected a new leader, Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Animation Hotline is a series of daily animations where I use messages left on my voicemail for content. When you get a chance please leave me a message, and honestly it’s best if you leave more than one because sometimes what you think is the perfect message might simply be impossible for me to animate in one day. This project is only as good as the messages that you leave me, so if you feel so inspired, call!

Instead tell about a time you were on the outside of a group or outside the norm, or possible when you were on the "in-group" dealing with an "outsider". It will premier at Cannes in May!
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
