This was a collaborative project I worked on as a producer with a good friend of mine named David Whitlow. We created it as an entry for a film festival in Milan, Italy under the category Domestic violence. It's a simple piece that carries much weight and meaning despite its lack of complexity. This is the HD upload of Bobby. We shot this as a fantasy true story. Bobby is not an actor by any means, he is my cousin from a troubled early childhood. His words are his, and completely unscripted. Shot with the Canon HF100 using JJ Kim's DOF adapter, Nikon 50mm f1.8, and a Nikon 24mm f2.8.
ANIMA - Films with soul
This page is designed to showcase videos selected for (1) having a simple but powerful story, (2) being highly creative, and/or (3) making think, during and after.
Most of these films (English spoken or subtitled) have a minimal use of words or no words at all.
They absolutely escape the five deadly sins of filmmaker: being boring, being obvious, being predictable, being unintelligible and being too fond of his own navel.
