Although I was injured with a few broken vertebrae in my neck during this expedition it was awesome to live vicariously through the edit process! cheers, ~reo

A week of backcountry skiing in the Stubai Valley, Austria. I went there with the intention to capture the beauty of the mountains and the feeling of freeing you mind by hiking and riding perfect snow away from the crowds.
This is what I brought home.

Six of us drove from Boston to Conway, NH on a Friday night in a snowstorm that lasted well into Saturday. We hiked up to and camped near the Harvard Cabin. We had a more remote camp planned, but avalanche dangers were too high in those areas. Four of us went up the Lions Head Winter Trail on Sunday morning, but were turned back by 100+ mph winds once above tree line. It was the worst weather on Mt. Washington all winter. But, it was a great trip.…
Backpacking the Wind River Range. It should be the right of passage for any trail lover. Titcomb basin connects a series of trails to deliver hikers to a granite stronghold of alpine lakes and Wyoming's tallest peaks. The fishing is excellent. The elevation gain is minimal. Dogs are allowed in the Wind River Range, a rarity for wilderness areas in the U.S. It's little wonder that NOLS using as this for a lot of its course work.

The first backpacking trip I've ever embarked upon. It was a tremendous time, and lugging the weight of the cameras around (thanks for the help, David) was well worth it in the end.
The trip was to the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan, and the weather and colors were perfect.
Shot the video with a D7000.
Music "We're On Our Way" by Radical Face. Go buy their stuff. It's awesome.

My friend and I spend two month in Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and El Salvador in the search for waves and happiness. What we found were empty breaks, nice people and yes…happiness as well.
Have fun.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
