For the most recent "Same Video, Different Use" ( http://vimeo.com/groups/clipdub ) video of "Stop Driving Us Crazy" from the Internet Archive's Prelinger Collection ( http://archive.org/details/StopDriv1959 ).
I've been thinking about this project for a while, but I just couldn't come up with anything. When I started playing with the video, though, nothing seemed to work better than how I have it here.

Finally got around to the previous "Same video, different use" project. It was a hard one to do. Fortunately, there was a wonderful song from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's musical episode, "Once more, with Feeling" that seemed to be one with which I could work.
After hearing this music, I knew I needed to try to do something that fit it. It's hard to tell what things are if you haven't seen them in real life. The cage has Katie's fake crow inside and is decorated appropriately for Christmas. Other items are our ornaments (on our cactus, as Mei knocks the tree over) and Katie's snowglobe.

Submitted for your consideration: a very poor representation of my music library and a very good representation of my acting ability.
I was walking to the car and had the urge to make some sort of video. While I waited for Katie, I shuffled through my iPod with the camera set on the dashboard. Don't worry, I was in a stationary car in a parking lot.
Hopefully no one saw me.
On Wednesday, I helped the Cub Scouts paint fire hydrants. While I was looking for fire hydrants, I was completely taken with the tall grass that was blowing in the wind. Unfortunately, I only had my cell phone with me. It takes bad photos and even worse video. But it had to do.
Made for the "Same Video, Different Use" project. http://www.vimeo.com/clipdub
I'm still trying to get the hang of FCE, so the editing isn't quite how I want, but a lot of the original video fit without my needing to tamper with it.
In case you don't read this text, be sure to stick around for the "super secret" surprise ending.
I recently purchased one of Karen's panels. This is not news. But I was waiting to put together a video until I had it framed. Unfortunately, the frame's not going to happen immediately, so I thought I'd try out Final Cut Express (3.5.1) and see how I could get it to work for me.
So really, this was an exercise in FCE. I obviously need some practice…
Victoria offered a challenge ( http://vimeo.com/1101774 ) to remix a series of clips she uploaded. I did not take the extreme challenge of using all of the clips, but the simple challenge of using 3.
The result is not very much, but since I'm on a business trip tomorrow, I had to throw it together quickly.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
