Smile for London invited some of the capital's finest poets to uplift and inspire commuters on London Underground during the bleak month of January. Each poem's recording was then brought to life by motion artists in the form of twenty-second-typographic -films.
The selection process was blind, meaning that motion artists were unaware of whose poem they had chosen until later. My selection was 'New Year Philosophy #5' which turned out to be penned by one of the festival's guest poets, Inua Ellams. This animation subsequently appeared across sixty digital screens in Underground stations, including Oxford Circus, Knightsbridge and Waterloo.

As part of campaign “Be Efficient, Save Energy” that promotes efficient use of energy, we have made this conscience-inspiring animation we really enjoyed working on. We intended to create universal message for anyone to understand and absorb some of these energy awareness ideas. The goal was to send a strong message that affects us all and wrap it inside beautiful illustrations that everyone would love. So, watch it, share it, like it because future is not so bright when you don’t take care of it! :)
