1. Our goal is always to create a camp experience where students experience authentic community and growth. Implementing groups allows you to directly connect with your students after session, because who knows them better than you? After hearing each message, you’ll have the opportunity to have more time to go deeper with your group which we hope will build stronger relationships for when you return home.

  2. Take some time today to figure what you would love your group to look like. And when thinking about your groups goals, try not to take your eyes off what we hope you value more than any else: the relationships. Because while prayer and conversations about the curriculum and messages are bound to take place, and needed, remember the purpose of why we do groups – to build relationships with students.

  4. We can’t forget that respect must be given to every member of your group, especially during group time. There is a time when joking is okay, and there is also a time when joking is not to your group’s best interest. 5. If our primary responsibility for small group is to prioritize for specific relationships, then this requires a willingness to be available to meet each other’s needs. Implementing Small Groups allows you to directly connect with your students after each session. Our hope is that Small Group is a place where your students are able to dissect what they learned in session, grow in community with one another and grow stronger in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

These videos will help those who will be leading Small Group to feel comfortable and confident in their role. We will also have a Small Group Leader Guide for every Small Group Leader when they arrive at camp. The Leader Guide will include all the discussion questions for each session, as well as tips on how to get conversation going, ideas for fun activities to do with your group outside of Small Group time, and anything else you can think of to help you ensure your Small Group time is a success.
