  2. Directed by Bill Domonkos with original music by Jill Tracy and Paul Mercer.

An intense juxtapose of disconnect and emotion. NERVOUS96 invokes the chiaroscuro spirit of a woman lonely, desperate, in debt, trying to connect in a desolate world overrun with technology. A seamless integration of film and music, NERVOUS96 casts a powerful spell, embodying the spirit of classic suspense and science fiction.

  3. In search of the sublime, Mr. Fireman spends most of his time conducting radical experiments of self-obliteration, an ecstatic process in which he puts himself into a hypnotic trance, mentally deleting parts of his body.

Inspired by Vladimir Nabokov's "The Original of Laura", his incomplete final novel.

Evoking a sense of time and nostalgia, the film uses archive film footage which is manipulated, reconstructed and combined with newly created digital animation, special effects and sound, provoking new ideas and experiences.

Artist Statement: I view my work as a collision and recombination of ideas. My process unfolds gradually and spontaneously—using found materials such as archive film footage, photographs, and the internet. I experiment by combining, altering, editing and reassembling using digital technology, special effects and animation to create a new kind of experience. I am interested in the poetics of time and space—to renew and transform materials, experiences and ideas. The extraordinary thing about cinema is its ability to suggest the ineffable—it is this elusive, dreamlike quality that informs my work.
