A walk along Waterfront Walk in Birmingham, two walks to be exact. The first one at night with the Canon 5D MKII and Canon 85mm f/1.2, the second early in the morning with the Canon HV20 with Letus35 Mini and Canon 24-105mm f/4. Edited with FCP 6 with a hint of Magic Bullet Looks and a lot of Lock&Load for the first part since it was shot handheld.

It was between -9 to -6c one early morning. The frost has just started to melt as the sun rose, so I dropped the kids to their school and ran back home to grab the camera and go out again to catch a few photos of the silver scenes before the frost milts by the golden rays of the morning first hour. The photos from this short trip, among few other wintery pictures, can be seen in this gallery: http://www.flickr.com/photos/moayadphoto/tags/ice2010/show/ More…

I walked to to the post box near our house with my an envelop in one hand and my iPhone in the other, and these are the results. I shot the pictures using an app called Action4 (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/action-4/id359837838?mt=8), so no post processing, just arranged the pictures in a slideshow using Aperture.

While the general idea many of today's westerners have about Kuwaiti art or art from the Middle East being mostly decorative and typically 'oriental', this documentary prove this wrong.
