    Music by Trentemoller.

Built with Processing and captured with Fraps.

Captured from my last live visual set.

It's all realtime, so there's certainly some mistakes and bad notes. That mean too that all the pictures are generated in live. I have no loops, no prerendered footages. It's all improvisation. Things move according to the beat, to the music frequenties and to my little fingers pressing buttons and switching knobs and faders.

This one is using some tricks and optimisations found by a new friend of mine who is really really good at realtime graphics....
so a big big thanks to Inigo Iquilez (iq / rgba) for this!

The main optimisation is about the creation of the boxes in opengl... with all the tricks together the frame rate change from 15fps for 1800 cubes to 35 fps for 4500 cubes! (and that on my old crappy computer)

I'll post something on my website as soon

Boxes are one of the "atoms" or "primal forms" within the formal canon of the generative art community. As such, many artists have explored this territory, each with their own particular interpretation of the theme. This group is a place to explore the diversity of this shared subject.

Everyone is welcome to participate, and images of all kinds are welcome, so long as the primary content is boxes. For the purposes of this group, "boxes" means 2-D or 3-D squares, rectangles, cubes and other rectangular solids, both implicit and explicit.

(If it has straight lines that connect at 90-degree angles to form an area or volume, then it's probably appropriate. If it's full of curves or circles or non-orthogonal angles, then probably not. A little non-box content is ok, but it should be "mostly" boxes.)
