Brixton Sessions hosts a collection of live, raw and intimate performances taken from the variety of artists and musicians that pass through the doors of South London’s multiple music venues.

The aim is to capture the talent of the performers by producing films with one camera in one take. No second chances, no editing tricks or audio sweetening – we want audiences to be wowed by music rather than incredibly produced stage shows or over-zealous production.

Brixton is an area of South London with a musical heritage to rival any London borough. From The Clash track “Guns of Brixton” to Eddy Grant’s “Electic Avenue”, it has been a melting pot of local and travelling talent. The area now hosts an array of venues, from the hugely popular Academy (often cited as one of the best venues in London), to the more hidden gems such as The Windmill, The Hootananny, The Rest is Noise, and Brixton Jamm.

All sessions are free to watch with no sign up fees or adverts in sight – just click and play. We are hoping you enjoy Brixton Sessions, and together we can help to promote good, honest music.

Brixton Sessions offers an open-door policy to signed or unsigned acts. We are not prejudiced to any particular genre and are happy to record any artists who are interested in proving their talent.

Brixton Sessions is powered by South London production company Blindeye Films.
