Nearly 4000 years ago in Ancient China warring tribes chose traits of animals to demonstrate their strengths.
The Han Chinese chose the most dominant creature as their symbol.
This creature combined the muzzle of an Ox.
The eyes of a shrimp,
horns of the deer.
Face of a mule,
body of a serpent covered in fish scales,
and talons of a Phoenix clutching a pearl.
The Dragon is a divine beast that rules them all.
Being blessed with many strengths including wisdom and intense power
it is the sign of the emperor, unpredictable, and untouchable.
Those born in the year of the dragon harbor good fortune and are to be honored and respected.
