The recent Calgary Centre by-election saw a huge effort on behalf of progressive political parties to outst the decades old conservative ownership of that MP seat. While only about 33% of eligible voters actually turned out to vote the seat remains in conservative control. What do progressive parties need to do to have a fighting chance? Or, is this simply the healthy democratic process at work?
