This is the very first and very short test footage shot with our GoPro Hero HD action camera. This camera certainly will get you some shots that would be difficult to shoot with other cams. Camera Obskura will probably use some footage shot with the GoPro Hero HD in it's upcoming feature film "Luxembourg Mystery Tale" (working title).

Welcome to the first part of the videoblog of the "Luxembourg Mystery Tale" (LMT) movie project. LMT is Camera Obskura's second feature film after the amateur trash movie "Zombie Film" and is aimed for a theatrical release in Luxembourg. The strange language that the people are talking in this videoblog is luxembourgish, a language spoken by a mere 400.000 people. Since the actors are also speaking luxembourgish in the movie, it will be subtitled…
When the organizers of the amateur film festival "Filmmaker's Night" asked us to show a teaser of our upcoming feature film, "Luxembourg Mystery Tale" (working title), on the first edition of their festival in 2008, we didn't have enough footage for a real teaser, so we decided to make a fake teaser for the non-existing sequel of our first movie, "Zombie Film". We also used the opportunity to test a new logo animation we were working on. Back then,…
"Zombie Film" was the first movie of the Camera Obskura team. We had no experience whatsoever in making movies before shooting this feature film back in 2004. We just grabbed a DV camera and made our own movie. Since it was the first zombie film ever shot in the tiny country of Luxembourg, the local cinemas agreed to show it, even though it's pure amateur trash. Thanks to its derivative humor and good word-of-mouth it managed to stay in the cinemas…
First ever After Effects project done by Camera Obskura back in 2006 for the Luxembourg stage magician David Goldrake. The trailer was done in only two evenings with no budget and no footage being available. The trailer was blown up to 35mm to be shown in local cinemas. Today the trailer seems pretty lame and we would certainly change a lot of things if it had to be redone, but we remember that on the big cinema screen the impact was not too shabby.
In December 2005, the regional TV station "Antenne West" broadcasts a news feature about a short film festival which was organized in the Broadway Filmpalast in Trier (Germany). The feature strongly focuses on Camera Obskura's "Zombie Film".
On Halloween 2005, the national Luxembourg TV station "RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg" broadcasts a feature on "Zombie Film" which is being released the very same day in the local Utopolis multiplex. The screenings have been sold out hours before the start of the movie.
After the huge success of the theatrical release of "Zombie Film" at the Utopolis multiplex, Camera Obskura a.s.b.l. is invited on 6 November 2005 to «Talk mam Félix», the talk show of the Luxembourg national TV Station "RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg". Young actress Sarah Hoffmann and aspiring filmmaker Patrick Ernzer talk about the experience of making and marketing a no-budget movie.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
