  1. A walk held every year to especially remember Father Mychal Judge, the FDNY chaplain who was killed at the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001 and to remember all those heroes who died that day.

  2. The Christmas Season has come to its completion.
The next highlight of the Church's Liturgical Year will be Ash Wednesday.
The Three Magi's liturgical visit with the Infant Christ, the Holy Virgin Mother, and holy Saint Joseph has come to its completion. They are departing us to go home. So, we wave goodbye to the Balthasar, Caspar, and Melchior, watching them return to their liturgical homelands until next Epiphany.
    But, what's this?
I find that they have left you and me a "see you next year" gift! They are an exceptionally wise and generous triumvirate, those three Magi!
Their gift to us is a roadmap: a set of directions for journeying successfully toward Easter and through the rest of this Liturgical Year!

Click on the "Play" button and see what the Three wise Magi have gifted you with!

  3. The Catholic Jedi Academy offers this brief video to honor all the holy, faithful, and credible Catholic Priests, the men in black, who sacrifice their life, love, labor and time -- following the example of Our Great High Priest, Our Lord Jesus Christ -- to be good shepherds of His Holy People.

Welcome to the cyber-artificial-pretend-reality called
The Catholic Jedi Academy (where Our Lord Jesus Christ is THE Headmaster).
The "Academy" is a Group Blog. We hope you will enjoy our humble apostolate and be enriched by it as a means of further "training" in the Catholic Faith.
By way of an explanation of our Blog, we should define some of terms we're using here:
THE JEDI:
In the Star Wars fictional universe, the Jedi are an ancient monastic
peacekeeping organization known for their observance of “the Force.”
THE JEDI ACADEMY:
A fictional training establishment in Star Wars fiction.
AN ACADEMICIAN:
A title denoting a person’s full membership in an art, literary, scientific or religious academy.

The Catholic Jedi Academy is not baptizing George Lucas’ theosophical religion! No, we do not think that Our God is "the Force" or some other electromagnetic entity.
We are employing the imagery, which so many people
– Catholics, too – know and understand.
Images are powerful in our society. Google the word, "Jedi": there are at least 57,300,000 entries! Images are powerful indeed!
We employ some of the highly popular and effective Star Wars imagery, but we convert it with a Catholic intelligence, sensibility, wit and humor.
Our mission is to encourage and enlighten the Catholic Faithful, and form Catholic "Jedi" who will champion the Gospel and defend the Unborn, the Sick, the Wounded, the Elderly and the Most Vulnerable.
Almost forgot: We attempt to do these with some humor and fun along the way!
We hope to serve Our Lord -- and you -- well!
May God Bless And Protect His Catholic Jedi!
