1. All Bean Maxwell wants is for the picture on his foyer wall to hang level. But will his dedication to the little details cause him to lose sight of the bigger picture?

This was completed at Ringling College of Art and Design in 2009 as my senior thesis in the Computer Animation program. I am responsible for all work shown.

  2. Blizzard Entertainment Europe hired me to make a trailer for the Heart of the Swarm Expansion event in Versailles, France.

I was tasked with creating a Zerg invasion of the city, integrating 3d models from the Starcraft in-game cinematics into real environments we filmed on location.

    - Character animations were re-used from the game cinematics, with a few additions and tweaks by myself where needed.
    - PFTrack for 3D Tracking
    - Animation and lighting in Maya with some Cinema 4D help
    - Composited in Nuke with some After Effects/Particular bits

The project was completed in 28 days by myself.

  5. Here is a compilation of shots I worked on at Blur Studio this past year or so. I worked with a lot of talented people on the work shown here in the many departments at Blur.

I am a Scene assembler and Lead Environment Artist at Blur, So I was responsible for Environment Modeling, Lighting, Compositing and in some cases Look Development for the work shown here. Big props to the CG Sups and Directors that led me through the process and provided guidance along the way. Special thanks to all the Blurians I worked with this year. I've learned so much from my coworkers and its been nothing but fun!

Thanks to Blur for being Awesome.

Go to jamesatilano.com for more details about how I contributed to the work shown.
