Based on an original idea by Phoebe Greenberg
During an opulent and luxurious banquet, complete with cavalier servers and valets, eleven pampered guests participate in what appears to be a ritualistic gastronomic carnage. In this absurd and grotesque universe, an unexpected sequence of events undermines the endless symphony of abundance.
Shown in over 200 festivals worldwide.
Winner of nearly 60 international prizes, amongst others:
Prix Canal + for best short film, Semaine de la Critique, Cannes Film Festival 2008
Genie and Jutra Awards for Best Live Action Short Drama (2009)
A companion video to the recent ep by Anilah; this piece is intended as a meditation for soul ignition, third eye and heart activation, through metaphysical interpretation. The music and vocals were created first as an improvisation by Anilah. Then the audio was synchronized with a visual score including motion graphics and artwork by Simon Haiduk, as well as an art cameo by David Heskin.
These artists often create with an emphasis on exploring the relationship of sound and light to activate metaphysical aspects of our being, as well as an attempt to represent our connection to Earth and the energy of spirit that connects us all.
For a new experience, and third eye exercise, try watching again with your eyes focused on center stage for the whole duration.
Adobe After Effects
An animated self-portrait exploring the idea of rebirth and illustrating the transfer of energy from one incarnation to another. I painted this stop frame animation on myself over 5 days, using some face paints, a mirror and a camera.
