Red is the dominating color of the exhibition, while the other two colors, green and blue mix subtly in the surrounding space.
Through thread and pixels the warm personnality of Jerome Clement is revealed. But his features, his eyes, his gestures, the quality of his voice, come out diffracted by photography, filming, video.
In this exhibition conceived by Chloé Tallot – with the input of Richard Peduzzi – the art of portrait is renewed. Rather than the synthesis of a personnality condensed in one image it becomes a process of unvarelling, destructuring, a visual poliphony.
By her technique of creating images through numerous reports and successive analogical or numerical interfaces, Chloé Tallot discourages any attempt at identification.
Out of those shifting shapes, those successive transfers there emerges, rather than an emblematic figure, the infinite complexity of the « self ».
Through this fragmentary dramaturgy, which is a metaphor of life, Chloé Tallot immerges the viewer in a sea of images where reality and abstraction mingle endlessly, thus opening up for us a rite of initiation, a poetic meditation of the unfathomable mystery of being.»

Chloé Tallot (born 1973, France) is a French contemporary artist whose creation spans from videos and photos, to paintings and collages. The dark and inner sides of life do not scare her, and the wonderful trips she takes are like an anthology of poems in itself, some are odes to love, others recall the spleen of one night, the purity of a sensation or an intelligible introspection.

Her world is both mystical and charnel. It is built of burning souls and bodies, seeking happiness and truth through their own dreams and contradictions. She fosters art as both an assumed source of pleasure and a psychological expanding experience.

Represented in France and internationally in art galleries and institutions, she also forms a VJ duo with Dutch videast Arnout Hulskamp. Their collaboration started in 2006 at 11/ Stedelijk in Amsterdam. Since then, while frequently joining forces at the Trouw, they have played together in Paris, New York and Geneva with the likes of Laurent Garnier, Trentemoller, James Holden and many more.

Either on stage or in her Parisian studio, Chloe's creation has always been about exploring images, colors, shapes, sounds and words. Her insatiable quest for the intimate strengthens her pictures. She weights with dignity and respect the power of feelings and their evocation.
