Amidst a busy day, complimented by culture and events, it can often times be difficult for couples to remain in the moment. Yet, regardless of the many spectacles that accompany a Lebanese and Italian wedding, their family and friends continually poured their love and care towards the couple, allowing them to remain completely enthralled throughout their special day.
This is a testament of the love they both received.
Lindsay and Dave's story is that which explores the deepest roots of humanity: Love. Through thick and thin, laughs and cries, and yes, even sickness and health, they have continued to surprise themselves in how much they truly care for each other. Not even their false declaration of things that they enjoyed, right off their first interaction, could thwart their eventual coming to be. Truly, it is something special that they have. With their archetypal role reversals of what a man and woman should do around the house, their moments that they share together while watching Sex and the City, and their feisty competitive nature, we are so happy that we could have learned and shared their story.
We wish you the very best on your journey together,
"Et nous vous déclarons, mari et femme!" were perhaps the very last words that Mel and Norm remembered on their special day as the rest of the night was filled with fun, laughter, and surprise entertainment! Mel and Norm's deep appreciation for their friends and family all came crashing back to them as they sat on their vintage couch, admiring in awe, the performance of hundreds to Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours". And in that moment, everything was confirmed. As they gazed at the silver screen watching a short film starring them but with the subject matter about the people that influenced and defined them, Norm took a deep breath, Mel smiled ever so gracefully, and they knew, that they had made the right decision.
We were so happy to be a part of this wedding, where a totally selfless couple showed us something truly important about love, marriage, and life.
There is perhaps nothing more important than family. Mel and Norm's story is that which epitomizes this idea. Through their seemingly different personalities, they've found that they are meant for each other. Not by Norm's rugged good looks nor by Mel's amazing dance moves, but by shared values that run deep in family. Their love for one another, and thus their love for their family for helping them become who they are today, is shown here. Mel and Norm, thank you for reminding us of how just important this is.
