In 2007 3 file boxes containing roughly 30,000 negatives are discovered at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, Ca. In the 3 boxes is Surfing's History from 1972-1993. I traveled for 3+ years finding the people as well as the photographers who lived the era and captured beautiful stories if not TOLD would be LOST.
This is LOST & FOUND

Had a chance to hangout with Tmoe and capture a day with an artist while he was making art. Thomas is well respected in the art world and creates unique original pieces that inspire us all.
I visit the sleepy town of Sayulita every April and last April as I ran down to say hello to some of the local fishing men. I was told some sad news that would change the lives of many people as well as possibly harming the waves. So with my camera I captured these images and story.
Dan Merkel is the legendary photographer who captured surfings most memorable images throughout the 1970's. Dan then went on in his career winning an EMMY as well as shooting on such classic movies as "Big Wednesday". I had a chance to follow Dan in NYC after Premiering the film "Lost & Found" with his camera while he photographed shooting his new love of panoramic images.
Dan Merkel is a PHOTOGRAPHER.
Dan is represented by Jeff Hall of A-Frame photo
Film editing is now something almost everyone can do at a simple level and enjoy it, but to take it to a higher level requires the same dedication and persistence that any art form does.
So when you pick up a camera and follow your heart you will see the world clearly.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
