Jay Richards has leadership positions at the Discovery Institute and the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty and is currently a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation. He's been featured in the New York Times and the Washington Post, and has appeared on Larry King Live. He's the Executive Producer of two documentaries: "The Call of the Entrepreneur" and "The Birth of Freedom", releasing this year. He appeared on this edition of Crosstalk to discuss his book, Money, Greed and God.
Conservatives have been accusing Barack Obama of promoting "socialism" but what does that term mean? According to Jay Richards, socialism refers to government ownership of the means of production.
With that foundation set, Richards delves into the eight different myths about capitalism. Becoming familiar with these myths will help you recognize the push toward socialism that is taking place in America now, a push that is being supported by some in the evangelical community as well.
