simple test scene done in the CS MODULAR framework.

the sound source is a polyphonic triangle wave synthesizer playing a jazzy minor7 chord at different root notes. 128 voices are generated, playing each note of the chord 6 times unisono, with only small changes to frequency and pulse width of the triangle wave, making it sound more creamy.
the sound source is rotated on a circle around the camera and displayed by sending the…

takeout of a CS MODULAR patch "takt im raum".

a simplistic rythmical music is put together, coming from three sound sources in space.
each sound sources fancy enveloped oscillogram thingy is used to display the sound.
some parameter preset states are explored during time.
demo of a CS MODULAR patch playing electronic jazz in space.

actually quite sophisticated demo ;)
* a 'jazz' is generated:
through various beat oscillators, counters, logical modules and scales, a monophonic bass synth and a polyphonic lead/solo synth reveive their notes.
* their audio outputs are send to points in space, each note representing a unique position/movement and/or form.
the patch simply runs forever, the camera…
CompositionInSpace #01, a quick setup of a self-generated melody playing on a synthesizer in space. done with the CS MODULAR framework. http://cymatrix.org
a repeating/varying scale is developed driving the frequency of a simple sinosoidal synthesizer. the audio signal of the synth moves to fixed locations in space according to it's frequency / note number. the position is also sub-modulated by oscillators with frequencies in higher or lower octaves…
simple demo of sound & visual connectivity, done in CS MODULAR framework. http://cymatrix.org
a (slightly modulated) 140 hertz saw/triangle wave after beeing send through a phazer modulates the amplitude of a circle drawn at 20 hertz. the result of that process is visualized as a fading pixel on a black screen and made hearable by sending x and y positions to left and right audio channels.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
