The ideas present in this design challege proposal are not a shift in the metaphor for tabs, or any kind of reinvention of tabs. The idea is also not likely to be entirely new. The proposal here is a simple examination of how users are using tabs, getting to those cases where "I have 40 or 50 tabs open", and a suggested change in the behavior of Firefox so it matches user patterns and an increasing pattern of web content.

We just installed vertical blinds to divide the space in 2. In the original project (http://cwsc.ning.com/photo/photo/show?id=2019905%3APhoto%3A46) we thought about using regular office fixed thin walls to separate the front room from the working area, but then after some brainstorming we decided that it would be cooler to have just a curtain-style track blind that can be opened at any time :)

We got the keys for the future coworking office in São Carlos today (March-04-2008) and went there to unload some stuff, and brainstorm about the layout, project and next steps.
