A cybervolunteer (cyber-volunteer) is a person who volunteers and who, to accomplish tasks and his or her activities, accomplishes his or her tasks partially or entirely with a computer and/or the Internet. We distinguish the cybervolunteer from the online volunteer less by the fact that he or she uses a computer and rather by the accumulation of the technical knowledge he or she possesses and the underlying motivations that drive him or her. He or she seeks to apply its expertise in information technology in the world around him and tries to improve this world.
