After getting a ton of hits on the World Wide Webclip of Joel T. at Cardiff reef, we dug through our hard drives and found this little afternoon session from last summer. Here's Joel, Ryan and Cy enjoying a few glassy lines at last light.

Cyrus Sutton takes his first phase Aquatic Almond to Malibu to test her on some backside peelers. The 9'7" board features a very wide pintail, pinched rails and vee step deck. The low to moderate rocker from nose to tail combined with a large nose concave provides lift on the nose without sacrificing speed. The AA #2 will feature more vee in tail and a slight outline modification to allow for more snappy turns. Stay tuned...
This sequence was taken from my recent trip to S. America. My girl's been studying abroad down there for a few months so I headed down for some lovin' and long lefts. I purposefully didn't bring any camera equipment except for a little HD Go Pro camera. The morning of what was supposedly the swell of the season, my girlfriend and I woke up before dawn and navigated the rocks to empty spinning lefts. For forty-five minutes we shared sunrise lefts. Eventually the pack paddled out and the camera fogged up, so I ditched the head rig and shared perfect waves with the locals all day. I'm stoked to have these opening rides recorded, it was a session I'll never forget...

Cyrus Sutton tests his new Aquatic Almond on a small day in Oceanside. We've been working on a board that trims and turns effortlessly, but has control and lift on the tip for smooth noserides. This is the first model and we've got some refining to do, but we're well on our way to the creation of a board that will make surfing a most pleasurable experience.
A fire has been sparked that will transform surfing forever. From his Australian country shed, Tom Wegener has opened the door to surfing’s future by reintroducing the Alaia, an ancient-inspired wooden surf craft devoid of fins, foam or rocker. Welcome to a new age where a single surfer with simple tools and natural materials can push the limits of modern surfing.
Join Patagonia Cardiff, Korduroy.tv and Jon Wegener this Saturday, August 8th for an alaia shaping tutorial. Also check out Thalia St. Surf Shop Friday, August 14th for the Korduroy.tv website launch party. Both events are free and feature sneak screenings and limited, home-made dvd/books of "Tom's Creation Plantation."

Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
