To celebrate the release of The Plus Series, the next generation of the classic Pantone Matching System, Base worked with director Greg Mitnick and producer/Cool Hunting editor Ami Kealoha to give a rare look into the behind-the-scenes of the design world's color standard.
A recode of the V&A Decode ident.
It really is a complete recode - we completely remade it in C++ and using shaders. We needed the extra power, trust me.
In this new ident, the decode logo is formed from 250,000 cubes which separate, swarm and flock like tiny futuristic cuboid fish.
It runs in realtime on a (high end) consumer PC, and it's even a bit interactive.

Stop motion title sequence for Dutch science show "Het Klokhuis" (The Apple Core). It is Hollands oldest youth television show, covering everything from the history of dinosaurs to how an iPhone is made.
