British photographer, educator and digital storyteller, Daniel Meadows defines digital stories as "short, personal multimedia tales told from the heart." He maintains that the beauty of this form of digital expression is that these stories can be created by people everywhere, on any subject, and shared electronically all over the world.
"Rather than have media done to us, we can do it ourselves, that to me is the principle difference between conventional media and digital storytelling"
In this project the stories of people who have come to live in the UK are told. The crafting together of images, audio, audio and other digital media by the storytellers enables their voices to be heard, creating a greater understanding of the multicultural society we live in.
