This is the video of a talk I presented at the Linux Audio Conference in Maynooth, Ireland on May 7th 2011. In it I talk about a DIY MIDI percussion interface I have built, which is capable of sensing the place you hit it as well as how hard, so that the sound morphs as you hit it in different places, similar to a real drum.
