Un rabdomante nel deserto. Un artigiano esperto ittiologo. Le carpe: una piaga. La "mojarra desnuda", piccolo pesce, specie unica che vive solo in una sorgente sulla Meseta. Le opere idrauliche sul Rio Negro portano oggi l'acqua alle coltivazioni di patate di McCain, il maggiore fornitore di McDonald. Un meccanico, attore in un classico "sainete", El conventillo de la Paloma. Una direttrice di museo che dice: «noi bianchi siamo stati "quasi" più malvagi degli indios». Una musicista che ha lasciato La Plata, alla ricerca di un clima più salubre. Un agronomo, appassionato di organismi geneticamente modificati. La vigna abbandonata, un tempo coltivata da un immigrato italiano che vinificava sul confine con il deserto. Un chacarero giocatore di paleta, trent'anni fa muratore a Buenos Aires. Un ex intendente che sa come cucinare le carpe.
Il racconto della vita a Luis Beltrán, minuscolo paese sull'isola di Choele Choel, Rio Negro, Patagonia Argentina, attraverso l'incontro con gli abitanti. Nel racconto del quotidiano si inseriscono temi complessi: l'ecologia, le tensioni sociali, l'identità del singolo nella comunità, la ricerca di un luogo giusto per vivere, il "lugar en el mundo".

Several people’s stories are intertwined in the film. A diviner standing in the desert. A craftsman talking about fish breeding, and of carps especially, nothing less than a plague. The mojarra desnuda, a small fish breeding only in Meseta springs. The hydraulic works of Rio Negro, watering McCain’s potato fields, which supply McDonald’s restaurants with French fries. A mechanic acting in a classical sainete called El conventillo de la Paloma. The director of a museum claiming that “we, the white people, were ”almost” much more evil than the Indios”. A piano player leaving La Plata for a healthier climate. An agronomist fond of GMOs. An abandoned vineyard on the desert border, once cultivated by an Italian immigrant. A former building contractor for 30 years who is now a chacarero and paleta player. A former superintendent who knows how to cook carps…
This is life in Luis Beltrán, a tiny village on Choele Choel Island, Rio Negro, Patagonia Argentina. The film tells it through its inhabitants’ words, blending everyday matters with complex issues such as ecology, the intermingling of public and private life, and the human search for a lugar en el mundo.

Doug Moore a.k.a. Diadem and Gary Monteleone a.k.a. Status are on a bit of a mission. Their goal, to return the hip-hop genre to its roots. To be positive and relatable, and take hip-hop from its present day manifestation of negativity, an echo chamber of guns-loot-cars and bitches to something more substantive.

Quite a task for two unknown caucasians from New England trying to confront the demons of their past. For Doug it was losing a birth mother to adoption most likely because he was born without limbs. For Gary it's trying to cope with the fact that his mother was savagely murderd when he was just a teen.

They call their group H.u.s.h.h. or Help Us Save Hip-Hop. This film will capture their personal and professinal struggles while they strive to succeed in an industry that's increacingly soulless and over-commercialized.
