Branden Born, Associate Professor, Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington provided an overview of the importance of everyone in the community having access to local, healthy food.

Scott Shapiro, Developer of Capitol Hill's Melrose Market and Managing Director of Eagle Rock Ventures explained how physical space plays a key role in community building and how it can help with conversation of farmland.

Matthew Dillon, Chef and owner of Sitka & Spruce, The Corson Building, and Bar Sajor explained the importance of the locally sourced food as well as how the location of restaurants can shape or transform a community.
