The mission of Earth Web Media, as a religious non-profit, is to provide opportunities for people to experience Animistic Eco-Spirituality* and to empower people who practice Animistic Eco-Spirituality. We also support people as they reunite with the Nature around them. As we empower people who practice Animistic Eco-Spirituality, we honor the Earth.

Eco-Spiritual culture is dependent upon its people having contact with Nature. The natural world is changing quickly in our lifetime, and many places are permanently altered at the hands of people who do not see the land/water as sacred. Earth Web Media documents, highlights and archives the public lands of the western United States, where 50% of the lands are held in trust by the state or federal government. EWM also highlights issues that affect Earth Lovers everywhere.

This growing archive of text descriptions, photos, video and audio helps EWM achieve its goal to share Nature’s stories with urban dwellers so they can connect with the issues in a personal and meaningful way and assist citizens in making land use decisions that benefit all.

*While the words “Animism”, “Eco” and “Spirituality” have their own meanings, Earth Web Media’s collective definition is as follows: “Animistic Eco-Spirituality is a process of connecting with the world around and within us that encourages each individual to perceive themselves as an equal in the web of life, and as a contributor to a sustainable lifestyle.”
