East Coast Rockers Sloan played a surprise show on August 1st 2010 at SappyFest in Sackville. The Halifax natives played the whole catalog from Twice Removed and closed their performance with "I Can Feel It" before getting Rick White and Julie Doiron for their encore performance of Smother. Twice Removed is the second album by Canadian rock band Sloan. It was released on Geffen Records in 1994, and is considered to be one of their best albums.
Guelph's own Richard Laviolette & The Oil Spills brought some some of the best musicians from central Canada (not to mention a vast selection of instruments) to entertain SappyFest. The Sackville Legion could not have been a better venue for their classic country music with modern songwriting about love, death and everything in between.
This is a song titled "Taking The Long Way Home" and has not been recorded by Laviolette as of yet.
