part 2 of the private view preparation -

Who would of thought setting up a show could be so much fun! We had a tremendous amount of help from lots and lots of people - we managed to get the last three prints up with people streaming in and we had such a great crowd of people that we had to have a gas leak to help thin it out a little...

As we wont have any paper until Tuesday we have started looking at some of the other jobs that we need to do - the biggest being the stamping and numbering of the prints - thankfully Sophie and Jen have been kind enough to lend a hand today and they picked up on the great job that Danka had been doing on Day 7...

We also bought the wood that we'll use to build the shop and checked that we had all of the artwork ready!

All hands on deck today - lots of help from lots of amazing people - Yann (Hand Wash Studio) came in and ended up printing for nearly 24 hours straight - we managed to run out of ink; which dovetailed nicely with running out of paper - however Patrick (Partly Civil) finished the illustration of Alice Gun on the trace (which looks amazing).

Still 10 prints to go - and the next time we can get supplies is Tuesday... The end is close! Make sure you are free on thursday to come down to the private view - Bodhi Gallery - 7pm onwards!

... came into the studio today and was illustrated by the amazing Patrick Savile (Partly Civil) who is a graphic artist working on freelance commissions, loves comics; and has just self-published one, called Full Mono, gets inky hands screenprinting, and is addicted to peanut butter. You can see the process on the video. Alongside that - we also managed to print up a whopping 7 of the artists work! We had a bit of an argument about the colour of one of the prints, we took delivery of the cardboard sleeves for the CD giveaways on the Ambiguous Record night, Steve Price (Plan B Studio) popped in to say hello, Dan Speight checked in to make sure we weren't mad... we were however, a little mad.
