Many years ago, eight of our astronauts were mysteriously abducted and taken to another planet. And they liked it! Now they've come home for only two hours. They have a score to settle with one another. The goal: survive for two hours then return to utopia. The obstacles: each other.
I released this film theatrically in 2002. The subject of crop circles is something I find to be mysterious and unexplained. Sure, there are people who make them -- but even those people attest to the fact that they do not make ALL of them. Something is going on here that deserves our attention, and I think my movie does a pretty good job portraying the circles as a bona fide phenomenon.
I completed this movie in 2006. Future by Design -- a documentary about the life and work of futurist and inventor Jacque Fresco -- has played at over 15 film festivals worldwide. Released on DVD in 2007, the movie has become a cult hit after the amazing internet success of Zeitgeist Addendum -- a movie that prominently features Jacque Fresco and his idea of a resource-based economy.
One teenager dies and three teenagers are sent to prison for life with no possibility of parole. It has been 10 years since I made this documentary -- and Brandon Hein has been in incarcerated for almost 15 years now. He did not kill anyone, and no one contests this fact. He is in prison for life because of the felony murder rule in California.
Gov. Schwarzenegger has granted Brandon a communtation but has yet to release him from prison.
