This is the OS4 race taken at 1 frame every 3s. We were first out the heads, 3rd to the longitude and 4th over the line, but you can't see the other boats in this video as they were behind or to the side. The symmetric does not fly well when we put it up, so we probably should have hotted up some more.

First CC race of the 2011/2012 season. Started in 20kn winds which eased over the day. We took a while to get the reefed main and reefed jib into a good trim, so our result was good for our handicap.
The initial run and work on Esprit of the third winter series race. I nice day out and good conditions to learn/practise the symmetric. The battery went flat for the second half, so we missed all the close calls and port/starboard violations from the CYCA fleet (also our bad gibe and round up :)
Esprit's first offshore cat 4 race! Was a beautiful day, flat seas, but really fluky winds. We had a poor start and then were tricked by the forecast to put up the asymmetric, which made it a worse! Switch to the symmetric and went along the shore and that worked for a while, before the weather went bizarro again for a while and then final reverted to forecast, for which our fractional asy was perfect. We were miles in the lead and look unbeatable...…
Jan took the helm in a non twilight race for the first time and did an excellent job in strong winds and 2m swell. We were leading the fleet first time to the heads, but then fatigue set in as the wind built to 25kn and a few mistakes crept in. We eventually joined the many boats that withdrew from the race and were pleased we did.
