Touratech Travel Event 2009

For the second year running Touratech UK hosted the travel event at their HQ in Ystradgynlais in South Wales. This extract was taken from my helmet cam which is why I chopped everyone's heads off. It was optimised for a position on the bike. As always Austin Vince provided much frivolity and entertainment. A true giant of adventure motorcycling.

F800 GS in snow a storm

The snow was getting a bit out of hand and I had 150 miles to travel to get back home to Manchester. I was traveling North and the snow storm was traveling East. Unfortunately the snow storm was longer than 150 miles in length. The last 20 miles were beyond difficult.

If I am not in the UK I am to be found somewhere in one of Europe's beautiful countries. Follow my long distance motorcycle exploits and all the fluff in between. I cover the trips, the people, the events, the gear and my attempts at maintenance.

I'm normally behind the camera but if I can harness the comedy value I'll get in front of it occasionally.

Part 2 of the 2009/2010 annual riding extravaganza is out my friends. There will be a biking gap over the summer as I have to give the bike back due to me losing my job. But Hey challenges are put there for us to overcome!

I have a new crop of videos. I have switched to Final Cut Express now and despite a few output teething problems the overall editing and production quality is improving.
