  1. This is a short demo of the indiSYSTEM SNAP! Gear and Collar using a Kodak Ektar II 25mm f/1.4 c-mount lens.

Pulling focus on small c-mount lenses is possible with the right size collar.

Note: Not all c-mount lenses will work, in general c-mount lenses where the focal ring is at the front or middle of the lens then there is enough clearance for the SNAP! Gear to clear the GH1.

For more info. on this demo and footage with this lens please visit componentgeek.com

Many Thanks to Tim Ovel for finding a solution to use the SNAP! gear and collar on cine c-mount lenses.

*Note: AGC still kicks in when recorded to the camera, so it's not the best audio quality, but still worth having backup, right? and easier way to sync with plugin.

The reason I do this is because I want to sync my audio and video easier while editing by having non-muffled hard-to-see audio level. I use Adobe Premiere Pro, so can't Plural Eyes like Final Cut users. (UPDATED* now Plural Eyes is available for Premiere as well, hoorah~!)
AGC on DSLRs are stills pain in the butt, but better than nothing, right?
