Along with my other short "The Clock", this is another experiment in improvisation of narrative and one-person filmmaking. Using a mushroom trip as a simple metaphor for self-loss and destruction of the ego, depicting the process of self-exploration and experience in the external world through the senses is a way of thinking with film (a shot is a thought) about memory, thoughts, dreams, mortality, communication with nature and our part in it, elusive definitions of perception, identity, time, space, and reality.
There's also a stoner cat.
This channel includes any of my first short films, whether narrative or documentary or experimental, or a mixture. It includes movies that directly reference the presence of a camera, intentionally done for different reasons in each film.
