This is some 3D animation in Quartz Composer, done with Kineme3D. I am loading some fbx files with the Kineme3D toolset and also using the "bend" and "gravity warp" patches, rotating the objects, etc...
The Kineme3D plugin is available at
kineme.net
So, on this I did the modeling and the quartz composer programming/setup. The GLSL code (what gives the objects their color/and light sources), is straight from tonebursts's "thin film" and "glossy wet" examples, with some changes to the default loading parameters, but not the actual code. Chris Wright and Steve Mokris get credit for the unwieldy amount of coding of the plug-ins, and for Kineme in general.... 'cause let's face it, they have expanded the capabilities of QC to an extreme point... as well as for being sublimely responsive to my hair-brained ideas! KINEME RULES!!!
ENTER RANT:
Considering the complete reworking of QC, the genius and conceptualization of the basic setups of the Kineme examples/macros, and the fact that a lot of the things that I do come out of Chris having helpfully(patiently?) answered questions... Chris and Steve probably deserve credits on the majority of things I have ever posted here! If there is anyone out there who regularly uses Quartz Composer, who does not have Kineme3D yet.... you must be crazy! If you don't have the money... skip eating (that statement is probably not endorsed by kineme for insurance purposes if nothing else, lol...).
QC=nice
QC + Kineme=nice³
