    Sony FS100 Low Light test

    This is a first low light test I shot with the Sony FS100. I filmed it and i also "acted" it.. The aim was to create a spooky, suspenseful atmosphere with 2 Arri 800 Watt lights shining through the windows. This was shot with a custom picture profile and the footage is completely ungraded.

    Simple test shot of 480FPS on Sony FS700 pre-production camera

    i had the FS700 for a few days and shot mostly slow motion as expected, no 4k add on available yet. I avoided the 960fps as I found it unusable in this pre-production camera but at 480fps, as long as you avoid fine patterns and lines that could moire/ aliase due to the half vertical resoltuoon AND it's well lit it could well cut in in with full HD.     Instead of shooting another camera test we thought you might like to see how the camera performs in the field under rigorous conditions. For that we were granted permission to shoot at Irwindale Speedway and put the camera in a stock car at 120mph. Sony are developing their NXCAM and NEX-VG10 successor, to address the complaints, the needs, and the pockets of professionals. Although the NXCAM FS100 will use the same E-mount lens system as the NEX-VG10, its sensor will exceed that APS-C size with a Super 35mm frame, and deliver true native 1080p resolution to prevent aliasing/moiré. Estimated availability is "mid-2011."
