Dr. Donegan understands that caring for a patient with cancer involves much more than simply treating the disease. Consideration of spiritual, emotional and quality of life issues is of paramount importance. Although he has a particular interest in breast cancer and hematological malignancies, he treats all types of cancers as well as benign blood disorders.

Twice each year, GBMC volunteers devote their time and effort to the hospital's semi-annual Nearly New Sale, a most successful fund-raising event that contributes all of its proceeds back to the Health System. And, twice each year, GBMC employees, volunteers, and the general public get an opportunity to buy treasures, trinkets, and necessities from furniture, clothing, jewelry and silver to appliances, sporting goods, toys and games, and much more -- all at nominal prices. Past sales have resulted in raising more than $250,000 annually.

Dr. Celano has a particular interest in gynecologic and gastrointestinal malignancies and in breast cancer. He strives to support patients and their families by providing a clear understanding of their disease and healthcare options. He encourages patients to participate actively in their medical care decisions as a means of achieving the best quality of life. He is involved with clinical trials at the national level as well as with The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and the University of Maryland.
