GoPro HD - Skimboarding In A Storm!

I filmed my friend David wiping out in extremely choppy horrible storm waves on his skimboard. I attached a GoPro HD Hero to a broom pole and we had a fun (yet freezing) time throwing the thing around!

GoPro Doohickey

While it's purpose is not for dampening, it does dampen vibration as a side effect of its true purpose. The quick release lock prevents the camera from popping out of its mount in the event of a heavy rear impact. It's rare that it happens but important to use that rubber plug/lock in high impact water sports like surfing or kayaking where a big wave or impact with water could hammer the camera from behind.
