We all have an idealized picture of what life should be like – free of problems and suffering. And the world tends to expect perfection from women who have less than perfect circumstances. But the Bible is filled with examples of women who dealt with the exact same problems we deal with today. And if God's grace was sufficient for them, it is sufficient for you today as well.
The first family was formed in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. And since the garden of Eden, the family has been in trouble. At one time our image of the word "family" consisted of a husband, wife, two and a half kids, a white picket fence and a faithful little dog. But for most people in our present culture, family doesn't look like that anymore.
We live in the age of blended, broken, and single-parent families and culture itself struggles…
Grace Hills Church Student Pastor Phil Bramel recently taught from Joshua 4 on setting up “stones of remembrance” in our lives to remember the great things God has been faithful to do in, around, and through us.
We who believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins should, of all people, be the most positive, hopeful, and expectant about the future. After all, God has proven He keeps His promises, including the promise to completely save us and secure us for all eternity. This is the Easter Sunday 2012 message given by Brandon Cox, Pastor of Grace Hills Church in Rogers, Arkansas.
This message is the third in a four-part series taught at Grace Hills Church by Pastor Brandon Cox. In it, he shares from 1 Timothy 2:1-6 five reasons we need to become passionate about a ministry of praying for people.
In this small group study, Pastor Brandon Cox shares from Acts 12:1-17 a story of Peter being set free from prison because "the church prayed very earnestly for him." Out of that, we can draw some basic lessons about making prayer a priority, being more persistent, and keeping a positive attitude about God's promise to answer.
