A project from my second year at uni. It's a kinetic text flash animation of Ricky Gervais as David Brent reading the poem "Slough" by Sir John Betjeman. The audio comes from episode 5 of series 1 of The Office.
Shamelessly used the footage from - http://www.vimeo.com/5606758 which was filmed by http://jonrawlinson.com/
Music - Expose by Pedro Y El Lobo produced for Mr SOS.

From January to May this year (2009) I was on placement with the guys at STV Creative, Aberdeen. It was an amazing experience for me and really gave me the motivation to push myself harder in the direction I wanted to go. This 6 second clip is of an ident I was asked to produce for their showreel and website but sadly was unused. However, I am still very pleased with it's outcome and it gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about 3D layers, cameras amd lighting in After Effects which I was struggling with at the time.
The concept is simple. As a creative agency communication is key and that is the visual metaphor I am trying to convey. The triangle of the logo really leant itself to this and by singling out one of them from the rest was to separate STV Creative from the other "agencies".
As this is an unused ident there was no audio created for it. So no, there is nothing wrong with your speakers ;) .
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
