I was approached by WowWee to create this spot for TV. I decided on a blend between stop-motion and animation.
The stop-motion bits emphasize ArtSee's ability to import pictures so that kids can create stories around images familiar to them. ArtSee allows kids to immerse themselves in really detailed environments (with unique characters, animations, sound effects and motion), that's why all animated elements are in real-time.

Client, Music: Kim Churchill
Production: NOMAD Industries Inc.
Concept, Producer, Photography, Editing, Co-Director: Jason Rodi
VFX, Co-Director: GSIMEO
Executive Producer: Felix Brochier
Window to the Sky music video was shot in Montreal, Las Vegas, Red Rock and Grand-Canyon, AZ. Dancers are David Albert-Toth and Milan Gervais, Human Playground. The director, Jason Rodi, is the founder of Moment Factory and The NOMAD Industries content agency. His filmography includes feature films 99¢ Dreams and The NOMADS of OZ, and documentaries The Eye of the Son and BOUVETØYA.
"We'd shot most of the film when I first saw Peter Curzon's artwork on Kim's album and was astonished to see we'd captured a near identical aesthetic to accompany the music. This was a testament to the strong suggestive power and inspiration that springs from Kim's songs. I am particularly proud to have contributed to his powerful universe."
