The Idiot Guide to Love presents an alternative understanding to what is commonly called love, and which is in my view an inextricable unity of form and substance, of emotion and attraction, and as a consequence of emotional attraction
and sexual attraction.
I believe that love without its erotic component is simply fake and that sexuality and its positive and life-enhancing functionality never was really understood by humanity, and that even those avatars who nowadays spread the word of sexuality being necessary and okay, are locked in a judgmental view upon adult-child sexual attraction. Why? Because their alleged freedom from old-fashioned moralism is just what is is, fake and make-belief for the sake of gaining points in the New Age agenda, but not genuine understanding.
This book is an awareness guide and not an academic treatise, and I am addressing the reader in person, and directly, for my intention is not to write a guide on public sanity but help people individually to live their love and desire in a healthy and guilt-free manner that brings blessings to themselves and their mates.
I contend that everyone who fantasizes about his love, has rape desires, which is why rape desires have to be openly tackled and dealt with; they are primarily situated on the fantasy level, and are relatively rarely acted out in real life. However, what happens is that when fantasy is precluded by pervasive big-brother morality, the fantasy risks to be acted out in real life.
This is why Christian morality, in the words of psychoanalyst Robert M. Stein, is primitive in the sense that it messes up, confuses and more or less deliberately entangles, fantasized and real life experience, and thereby renders the individual prone to psychosis or a schizophrenic split.
True morality knows to make the distinction between fantasy and real-life action, and thus can act out rape within the safe haven of fantasy. What happens, however, in patriarchal and moralistic culture is that because the imaginary realm is precluded by compulsive morality, the taboo is acted out in situations that are put on stage as exceptional, thus justifying derivations from the norm, such as wars and civil wars, and the eternal massacres of ethnic and tribal minorities, which are thus raped in all possible ways for safeguarding and upholding the collective psychosis within the allegedly righteous large civilizations.
